Read this if you work hard and can't afford to throw money away. Deceptive business practice, bad coordination, fake pictures in their website (employees does not dress like that), needs a third party to communicate because they do not speak English, poor job for the price, deep cleaning is just wiping with a cloth. I'm surprised with the positive reviews and makes me doubt how many of them are real customers. I paid $324.64 for a deep cleaning. For 2 hours service (1st time). It was a "move in" cleaning. I opened the door for them and left for work. My roommate already was driving to the apartment that was supposed to be cleaned. When the roommate reached the place they were already gone. They left in less than 35 minutes. 2 bed/2 bath apartment. They did not clean well. Seems they just wiped. There was even hair and residues of food on the refrigerator between the shelfs. Bathrooms smelling like urine, stains on floor, windows frame with black dirt and so on. I paid to clean the apartment before I moved in. They did a very shabby job for what I paid. I called Sharon, and sent an email with pictures. They gave me 2 hours for free as a compensation. Have to wait long time for them to come back and clean. By the time they schedule the new appointment I already moved in to the apartment. We ended up cleaning by ourselves. They keep changing the appointment day. 2 weeks after the moving finally someone came. The person that came (2nd time), came late, there was no communication. Then she spent the whole 2 hours ONLY cleaning the oven. And I was told that I had to pay after the 2 hours if their employee had to stay. I told her to leave because it was already 2 hrs of service. Sparkling maids is a scam business. They will try to find a way to get more money from you. I called Sharon again and told her. You guys do this on purpose right!? 2 hours cleaning an oven is an exaggeration. And if it was so dirty as they claim, that proves then that your previous employees did a bad job. Who knows how many people had been ripped off by sparkling maids. Mostly elders or busy people that dont check their work and take it for done. Do not use them, they do not deserve to have a permit for business.

Our company has strict quality control, and when genuine customers raise concerns, we address them promptly and professionally. I am sharing my personal experience with Sparkly Maids after extensive, long and detailed communication via email, and actual, in-person experience for day of service. This review is solely for other potential customers as a heads-up when doing research for a trust cleaning company and crew. I do not require any long explanations or justifications by the company itself. To start, as someone from Europe whose standards are definitely high when it comes to professionalism and good quality across the board, I am extremely picky and detailed. I do my part on research, outreach, communication, and I make it clear on what it is I would like to book and happily pay for. I appreciate fairness. After a great deal of research on cleaning companies for our brand new, post construction home that took a while to finish building, I went ahead and reached out to Sparkly Maids by email in order to get a feel for their company and pricing information. Immediately, their communication by the staff coordinators and administrators was great, and things were clear. They certainly knew how to get things answered and were timely. In the beginning and as a new, post construction home, you are very busy with a ton of services for the home and things going on, so at one point after a good amount of email exchanges, the company asked for a virtual walk-through which was fine with me. The meeting was set-up with a manager of some sort. Unfortunately, on the day of, the manager never joined the call and left me (as a new potential customer) waiting. I reached out by email again and they assured me the manager had something come up. Okay… I booked with them for a future date to get the a post-construction and deep clean done. The company knew all of the details I was looking for as they were communicated many times, in many different ways. There were also pictures sent, and we were happy to pay for services if they were provided. We did book for some additional things like inside/outside cabinetry, vents, etc because apparently, their regular cleanings don't even include this (i.e., light fixtures, vents) are in every apartment, condo, townhome or home. I kept emphasizing what all I would like and need everything touched as this is a brand new, post construction home. If a specialized team was needed, or designated tools and equipment, which I also did mention I wanted new and newer things in our home, and eco friendly products, then I would have liked to be told this is only for a specialized team and here is the quote for this. We scheduled a regular / deep clean and paid for extra things to be done which for many companies or even private cleaners, is very standard because the level of care and standards are higher for them. It is customary for lights to be cleaned and dusted, and vents for example as there is dust. It is like saying cleaning wall bases is extra in anyones home... strange. Once the cleaners did come on the day of the service, it was two cleaners who not only missed rooms, base boards, staircases, kitchen cabinetry, and a master bathroom, but I had to walk them through my home to show them things. The language barrier was also there which did not help. Where were the coordinators and administrators taking all of these notes and speaking so wonderfully, when I, as the customer had to co-manage things? I immediately had to reach out to them via email again and I provided all of the information above, in addition to the lack of cleaning and details done. They offered a re-clean, but a 24 hour window was not an option for us, so the company did leave us a credit to use for a future cleaning. I reached out to them several months later to get a re-do, and was scheduled a virtual walk-through. Again, on this virtual walk-through, the manager did not show up on the call yet again... and that left me dumbfounded. Unreliable, inconsistent, way too expensive from basic cleanings, to deep cleanings, with most things being "extra" that truly are standard things.

Regarding the pricing, we’d like to clarify that our rates are aligned with standard industry pricing and in many cases, even more affordable. Since your home was in post-construction condition, it required specialty cleaning, which is different from regular cleaning and priced accordingly. We were very transparent in our email exchanges, outlining all options, pricing differences, and add-ons so you could make an informed choice based on your needs and budget. After much discussion about service types, you ultimately chose our most basic cleaning option, with agreed-upon add-ons for cabinets and eco-friendly products. Regarding your expectations for uniforms and company vehicles, we understand your concern. As a local small business, our cleaners use their personal, reimbursed vehicles (not company cars like our managers), and we had communicated this transparently via email. While we don't promise specific uniforms, our protocol ensures all crews wear appropriate professional attire. Our priority is the quality of the clean itself, delivered with professional tools. We also acknowledge your feedback on language; our lead cleaners are trained to ensure clear communication of instructions. We sincerely apologize for the missed details after your first service, especially in a new, empty home. Perfection is important to us. Upon your complaint and photos, we extended our Re-Clean Guarantee. Although our policy states a 24-hour validity, we made an exception for you, offering a re-clean weeks later, out of genuine goodwill and understanding, especially knowing you had just delivered your child. We simply didn't want to add to your stress. When the re-clean wasn't accepted, a credit was applied to your account. As per our Terms and Conditions, which you accepted during booking process online, our services are non-refundable. This policy helps us maintain consistency for all clients. Finally, we deeply apologize for the missed walkthrough on your second booking attempt. This was an internal coordination error on our part. Your request to switch from an onsite to a virtual walkthrough for June 20th coincided with our Field Operations Manager's doctor's appointment, a day she was unavailable. While the online walkthrough was completed from your end, we unfortunately overlooked this on our calendar, leading to the mishap. This communication breakdown was entirely our fault, and we take full responsibility. Our office staff reached out the very next day to offer another walkthrough, but we sadly did not receive a response from you after that. We continuously strive for improvement and stand by our re-clean guarantee for valid claims, committed to fair resolutions and customer satisfaction. We value the opportunity to serve you with clear communication and high-quality service. Please don't hesitate to reach out if there's anything we can help with.

As is standard for last-minute requests, and as noted in our service terms, we cannot always guarantee fulfillment on the requested timeline due to existing scheduling commitments. We attempted to reach you promptly upon receiving your request to discuss its feasibility. Due to initial difficulties reaching you via the contact information provided, we extended our efforts, connecting with you after our regular business hours. During our conversation yesterday evening, we unfortunately had to inform you that we were unable to fulfill the request for today, as our schedule was already fully booked for this substantial service. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this caused. We would welcome the opportunity to assist you with future cleaning needs if you'd like to reach out to us to discuss scheduling further in advance.

SparklyMaids did a great job on move-out cleaning for my old small one-bedroom apartment. It was affordable around $115 for a full clean. Thank you! However, since I was so impressed, I called again the next day to schedule ONLY mopping at my new apartment (same size one bedroom). For just mopping a very small apartment, they quoted me the exact same fee, same as move-out clean. $115 just for mopping? It would take me less than 30 minutes to mop myself, but they require a 2-hr minimum. It will not take two people to mop a small apartment for two hours. So I canceled and I'll mop myself. I'm happy with the move-out clean, not so happy with individual small cleaning fees, like just mopping.

The cleaning service itself left me in awe! I still have no idea how they could get my old place so clean! We were quoted a price for 1 cleaner to come and charged another due to the cleaner bringing help. Not sure if this is common practice in Texas, but the issue is we weren't informed before the service that the extra person would be an additional fee. The company did acknowledge the discrepancy in the quote, but failed to acknowledge it as a deceptive business practice or offer a suitable solution, as the customer should be made aware of changes that are going to affect the final balance. The cleaners said they'd need extra time so the company did call to verify that with me. It took 2.5 hours to do bathrooms and kitchen which wasn't bad timing. My suggestion for the Company would be to make the customer aware beforehand to avoid unexpected charges. A simple phone call before the service and asking if I wanted the change at an additional charge would have been nice. We won't be utilizing this service again. Update: I love how below the owner tried to justify that I was charged for what was booked when I have an email from the company stating they messed up so try to clean up improper communication all you can. You won't gain customers by trying to argue a customer's experience of your company. If people see you are unwilling to take accountability for what may have been a one off with a simple "my bad" it shows huge immaturity on your part and bad business practice. I was indeed unexpectedly charged and that's that. This horrible response warrants an even lower rating. My review was never to bash, simply to say this process could have been handled differently. I’d like to clarify exactly how our billing works, outline what occurred during your cleaning service, and explain our service options, including our flat-rate offering. Our Service Options: 1. Flat-Rate Cleaning: This option provides a comprehensive, full-home cleaning for a fixed fee. It’s ideal for those who prefer a straightforward, all-inclusive price, regardless of how many hours are worked. 2. Hourly Cleaning: This service is billed based solely on total labor hours ($59 per man-hour)—not on the number of cleaners working. Whether one cleaner works 5 hours or two cleaners split the time, you’re charged only for the combined man-hours. This standard practice is clearly outlined on our website and booking form which you can view here: sparklymaids.com/booking You originally booked 3 hours of hourly cleaning for a total of $177 (before discounts and tax). During our initial call, we explained that, depending on the condition of your home and the tasks at hand, additional time might be required. Upon arrival, our team assessed the situation and informed you that we would need 5 hours to complete the work rather than the original 3 hours booked. You agreed to add the extra time. At no point did you give the indication that you did not understand our billing practices and you had the option to cancel and refuse service. Although the additional time was performed by two cleaners—with the extra hours divided equally—the total labor provided remained 5 hours. In simple terms: -One cleaner working 5 hours = 5 man-hours -Two cleaners each working 2.5 hours = 5 man-hours
 The final charge reflects the combined 5 man-hours of cleaning, regardless of how many cleaners contributed. After the cleaning was completed, you signed off on the work and later confirmed via email that you were satisfied with the quality—even while questioning our billing process. During your conversation with Mary, she acknowledged that she did not fully explain that the cleaning hours would be divided between two cleaners. As a goodwill gesture, we offered a $25 credit toward a future service, which you declined. You initially left a 2-star review, even though your overall feedback indicated satisfaction with the results.
