Crooks. Took our money and several others to install pools and landscaping Currently under review with the Nevada State Contractors Board

The owner Jon B. reached to me after my update and assured me this isn’t how they do business. We spoke 1/31/2024. Today is 4/1/2024 and since we have had one visit to our home to check the plants yet they did this back in June and said they’d be back in October when weather is better so the plants don’t die. Well October became November and November became January because it’s too cold. After the recent visit they said oh it’s bad weather we can’t do anything. He said he’ll count the plants and come back to replace it on a different day. This was because it was raining and he didn’t seem too interested in doing any work. 3/18/24 Jesse called to let me know they’ll come next Monday and on Friday someone will call and let me know the timeframe to expect them. No follow up call whatsoever and my husband prepped the yard, move anything that would be in their way and they no showed. My husband spoke to Dino told him we weren’t on the schedule. I called and spoke to Jesse and she told me he doesn’t know what he’s talking about, he only handles estimates and how she didn’t work on Friday so she doesn’t know anything. Jesse again told me the team will come out and replace the plants, not look at them again on 4/1 around 8 or 9am. No one has showed up and no one is answering their phones. We have an infant, so it’s already really difficult to arrange for free time. We respect and work around JTBs schedule yet they can’t respect our time. I expect our plants to be replaced within 2 weeks, otherwise will be submitting a formal complaint for not upholding their warranty. I would suggest you to not go with this company considering how much money you spend with them and they treat you like a no body afterwards. Check out my Yelp review

​We contracted with JTB ownership to complete several thousand dollars in work for our backyard and, after providing the final payment, We were shocked to learn that JTB failed to pay its California supplier SiteOne Landscape supply resulting in a lien being placed on our home for $19,694.96. After multiple attempts to address the lien with J. T. B. without success, we were forced to retain local counsel to address the lien. Additionaly, during an onsite visit with the Nevada Contractors Board to address a workmenship issue Jon Banning, owner of J.T.B acknowledged the workmanship concerns and agreed to reimburse me for my legal fees. after multiple attempts to collect and the filing of a complaint with the Nevada BBB, Jon is now refusing to pay the legal fees saying " The homeowner chose to hire legal and they are not responsible

***CUSTOMERS BEWARE*** We performed services on one of their trucks and wrote us a a fraudulent check. They refuse to pay. This business will scam you. Do not trust them.

Update April 28. These guys suck. Anything they promise you is a lie once you have paid in full. None of the guarantees they made about replacing dead trees is especially. I immediately notified them of issues with dead trees with pictures and text. I was told it was too hot to fix them and that they would fix them when the temperature lowered. When I called after summer they said I was past the warranty. I explained to the situation and Jon was going to “get back with me”. Week after week I called and someone would get back to me. We spent $35,000 on this yard with JTB and they can replace the plants and trees they guaranteed. I ended up moving on to another company. I will never recommend JTB again. Be warned. I’m leaving my original review up since they did a great job of installation. —— original post —— Don’t think twice about using JTB, they were FANTASTIC! I first saw them put in a new backyard two houses down in 4 days and it looked amazing, so I got a quote, which to be fair wasn’t as cheap as the other 2 companies I got quotes from, but they did SO MUCH more than the other companies and from the work I had seen. Also Jon and Angel (the owner and his right hand man) were extremely competent, so I accepted their bid and I DO NOT regret it. They took out our horrible grass lawn and put in beautiful artificial grass. They put in a solid 10-inch wall with a proper concrete base in the back of our yard keeping our existing trees but replaced all the irrigation. At night when I first saw the lighting turn on… I cried… it was so beautiful! The craziest part is EVERY night they neatly cleaned up the construction area, never once asked to use our bathroom, and all seemed happy to do the job, and after 5 days they were completely done. EVERY single member of their crew was professional and every morning they showed up at 7:30 almost on the dot. I’m attaching a few pics of the yard and the crew at work. I sincerely want to thank the ENTIRE team for transforming our backyard into a beautiful spot.

Reached out for a quote for some river/pebble rock, 4 trees, and a circular area of turf.. in my 50 x 32 foot yard and was told it would be 30k - 40k. Nothing needs to be removed as I just had a company come out an level the yard to start fresh!! I guess because my drawing included our Hammock, firepit, and table and chairs that we already have on our patio they thought I needed all that extra stuff. Even though I stated I already have the border stones for the turf outline. Absolutely ridiculous and over priced for the simple things I needed. The receptionist and associate Chantal were great though from phone call to email. 5 Stars for them alone.. Their "Estimator" needs to reconsider residential prices compared to his "Commercial Winning" landscape designs that he promotes on his website.

This company exceeded our expectations in every way. We paid less than we expected, they were done sooner than we expected, and the final product was better than we imagined it could be. Communication was top notch and the crew was very flexible to on the spot changes to the design. Follow up has also been very good. They don't leave any loose ends and go above and beyond to ensure full satisfaction with the work they've done. Highly recommended.

This might be the worst most unprofessional business I've ever encountered. They set up a meeting to do an estimate, on Sunday at 12:00 P.M. but they would only show up if both my wife and I agreed to be there, and to make the project at least 15k. Come Sunday no one showed up or called. I had to call them, they said there was no appointment set up for me, that they would call me back instead they blocked my number. My wife and I both work Sundays and had to call out, I don't think a simple apology is going to work on this. They come across like a professional company but they are really just pieces of blank.

We called JTB on a whim. We are glad we did. Michael understood what our needs are. He provided us with ways to cut down on the cost. We are extremely satisfied with the end product. The crew was very professional and they paid attention to the details. Joe and Massa

Before you call them their minimum project is $15,000. My project would of exceeded that but... I Called for a simple quote and was immediately turned down after I explained my project over the phone. The lady straight out said that their minimum is 15,000 and didn't even ask for more details as if they are listening for keywords like pool, patio cover, etc (big ticket items). I even mentioned that I've received a quote near 20K; I almost felt like I had to convince them to come out to give my project a legitimate quote. Can't speak for their work, but the person answering their phone isn't really helping their buisiness.. Whether or not she reflects the quality of work Jtb provides I know where my business is not wanted.

I begun to know these guys better after they finished their beautiful work! I personally want to thank George for his hard work!

I was so happy that I picked JTB for my back yard landscaping project! I compared different companies and JTB was the best in terms of price, design, completion quality, speed and timeline! They had a large crew and lots of equipment and got the project done in just 3 days! Simply amazing! All crew members were friendly and professional. Excellent company! Highly recommended!!!

I had three different companies come to my home for landscaping estimates after our pool installation. JTB had an immediate vision for my backyard and completely transformed it in two weeks. I cannot say how happy we are, feels like we have a Resort in the backyard. Do not hesitate to use this company, I will use them in the future for any landscaping we have.

Horrible non-caring customer service was the experience I had. They came out to quote my project and were extremely high. Further, they were unapologetic when confronted about how their price was compared to other reputable companies. I do not recommend them. Laying fake grass is not rocket science, so don’t pay more because you won’t get more.

JTB did a fantastic job on my backyard. From getting a quote with Kyle to finished product was only two weeks and the quality was spectacular. I couldn’t be happier. Everyone we dealt with were super friendly, helpful, and collaborative. James, the crew lead, was great in offering up suggestions and creative solutions when he felt a design decision we had made might not add to the execution of our vision. His suggestions really made all the difference in making sure we got exactly what we had envisioned in our heads. The whole team was also very responsive as we made minor design tweaks along the way which we really appreciated. Would recommend JTB to anyone that needs their landscaping done.

My first impression and experience was today and the other reviews listed on Google are correct. I explained the job and what was needed to complete it along with referencing to other reviews online about them mentioning a $5,000 minimum. Jody said that yes there is the $5,000 minimum and that most of their jobs are from $5,000 to $10,000. I was a bit disappointed that my project was not taken due to the fact that I was a smaller project. As a business, they can do what they like. I'm not sure if I feel bad for the business owner. I'm writing this review to share my feedback from someone that looked for a landscaper online, read the reviews, still called and got told the same thing. Maybe the business should update your website that says that there is a minimum project order so people won't waste their time.

I was so disappointed with my experience/ first impression today. Like other reviews, as I was explaining what I needed done the girl on the phone said they have a $5,000 minimum. I need my front and back yards completely gutted and redone. I was shocked. That would defiantly be more than $5,000. I didn't get the chance to finish. When going into something like this you know that you will be spending money.You just don't start things that. way. I feel so bad for the business owner that probably works hard for their business/dream. The people who answer the phones make or break weather or not they get hired. Not only are they the first contact but you will likely have to deal with them during the project and at the end when it's time to pay the bill. I take it so personal when I see someone's business being handled poorly. My gut sinks every time I see a business close it's doors or when I see behavior like I dealt with today because I know they don't care about the company they work for. I hope the owner reads these reviews and considers listening in or training. I wasn't going to write a review but after reading someone else had the same experience I thought it was important to share mine. I am not trying to be nasty. Having your own business is something to be proud of. You work hard for your name and what you have. Those first interactions with people ho answer the phone are so important. The reviews show that those first impressions took money out of your pocket. These reviews are the ones you heard about. How many others have the same to say? How much $$$ is being lost?

We decided to call JTB Landscapers because we received a card on our door, after we contacted a couple of other landscapers and weren’t happy with them. Kyle showed up promptly at our appointment time, we only told him we wanted a patio, walkway, and an area for our spa we ordered, we asked him his thoughts on the rest of the yard. We didn’t tell him what my husband and I discussed to see his insight on what he would do. My husband and I wanted our yard to be a backyard oasis, because of my lupus and blood clotting disorder I’m not able to travel, so we wanted it to be a place to go and unwind! When Kyle started telling us his ideas, my eyes opened wide, it was like he read my mind! My husband and I are so picky, real, real picky and what he designed and what Kyle, Slade, and their crew provided was amazing and we are extremely happy with it. They are prompt, they communicate with you daily to make sure you are happy with what has been done each day! I would definitely recommend them!! Photos to follow!!!!

JTB placed a card on my door, so decided to call them. The sales lady wasn’t very helpful, and refused to schedule and estimate if BOTH decision makers were not present. A terrible sales tactic usually used by businesses I don’t like dealing with. Minimum pricing was $5K, with most jobs not being less than $10K. This was right off the bat with ZERO information on my job. Decided to hang up, clearly not motivated in the current economic climate to do business. Buyer beware.

To start off to get a consultation was easy. They are available a good portion of the day. Every homeowner needs to be present at consultation. Which is smart, but I thought my wife is making all the decisions, I dont need to be there. Mistaken. My input was crucial what they missed. Second minimum 5000.00 project. They came over and we set a plan. 50% down 50% when project is done. They landscaped the whole backyard in 2 days. Very professional. My neighbors even said all the workers were professional and nice. Family owned business. They cleaned everything up. Even power washed the street. Hoa would be impressed, in and out at no time flat. Highly recommend. You pay what you get. Not a cheap company and they use high quality products. Support a family owned business in las vegas.

I met with Kyle at JBT Landscaping and I needed work done in my backyard to finish up my landscaping that I had started. I also needed to address some issues in my front yard. I needed lighting both in the front and backyard. I met and picked out all the shrubbery with Kyle. I was surprised that Kyle was ready to go that Thursday morning and he said it would only take one day. Thursday morning at 6am sharp, nine (9) workers and a supervisor showed up. It was an amazing experience dealing with them. I'm very specific with my needs. They listened and followed up with everything I asked of them that day. Their equipment is amazing and up to date and everyone I dealt with had a special trade. Their attention to detail was spot on. I was extremely pleased and satisfied with everything that they did. Thanks again for your hard work and professionalism.

Beautiful backyard in just 4 days. I highly recommend JTB. No lengthy delays on getting estimates and large work crews ensure that work is done timely and right. I couldn't be more pleased with my backyard. Kyle is wonderful to work with and has vision so that you don't get a cookie cutter backyard.

The first time I came across JTB, I got several bids for a large front yard overhaul. Unfortunately, I went with the cheapest option that was NOT JTB. You always get what you pay for! They screwed it up and I had to call JTB to fix it. JTB Landscapers has provided my family and me with excellent service. John the owner is always friendly, courteous, and responsive to my concerns. He completed the project in a timely and efficient manner and I was more than satisfied with the results. I should have gone with JTB to begin with and from this point on, I will always call them first.

I hired JTB Landscapers a few months ago expecting it to take weeks for my service to get done but instead it seemed like he had his whole crew out there I was surprised by the amount of professionalism and attention to detail they put into their work thank you so much JTB for all of your hard work.

Did my backyard, pavers, rocks, artificial grass! 100% perfect. 100% recommend!
