An amazing experience - from tasting the cake, to sharing a design, to picking up the most beautiful cake exactly as we wanted it. The guest of honor was overwhelmed! And, guests took pictures to send to friends and family - around the world - to share the magic of Classic Bakery! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

The service and cake was great but the prices online are very misleading as a custom style with arguably less work then other cakes online are up charged and even the color tray they come on is a charge and wanted to charge $15 for adding bows I was told to provide. I would go again but not for anything short of a wedding or any other life changing event as the price was crazy.

I have ordered two birthday cakes before! Each time, they depicted the theme I wanted and the taste was absolutely delicious. I’m not a baker but their cake is very light, unlike regular store bought cakes! I thought the two layer cakes would last but people actually cut very big pieces because of the light and fluffy cake mix and icing!

Everyone loved my daughter’s birthday cake. Multiple people attending asked where the cake was from. We will definitely order again soon!

The most delicious and decadent carrot cake I’ve ever had. And the eclairs and fruit tarts were perfect! The desserts from here were literally icing on the cake for our birthday party!

Exquisite cake for my husband’s birthday! Looked amazing and tasted delicious! Thank you!

Excellent service when ordering. The cake was even better than we imagined. The design we requested was beautiful and very neat. I’m sending you a pic.

I always order my cakes and pastries from Classic Bakery, whether it’s for a special occasion, a birthday, or just because I’m craving something unique. The quality is always top-notch, and they never disappoint. I recently got my engagement cake from them, and everyone loved it, so many people asked where I got it! I can’t recommend Classic Bakery enough.

Cakes are just incredible and customer service is second to none!

We searched high and low for a great carrot cake for my mother retirement party, and this place was the best!!! She even said this carrot cake was the best she ever had!!! It was amazing and beautiful. Highly recommended spot. We loved it

Used to be our go-to place. But had the worst experience. Never had any problems ordering custom cakes for my kid. Most of my kid’s birthday’s cakes were from here, but today, it was such a let down. We were not even able to explain what we want. Whatever we asked, the only answer we received was - “it’s going to be expensive”. Not even trying to listen or help us out with anything. Felt very disrespectful and disappointed today.

This bakery is the best!!! Always great cakes and treats and friendliest staff like Farzeneh and Celeste! Highly recommended

I visited this bakery to order 3 birthday cakes based on recommendations, but I was completely shocked by their excessive pricing. The starting price for even the smallest custom design cake (like the one in the photo) was over $200 to $210, and larger options easily went up to $300–$400. What's even more ridiculous is that their standard order brochure showed a very simple, ordinary cake with just three Baby Shark figures on it, and even that was priced at $210 without any complex custom shaping. If you are planning to order a birthday cake here, you need to expect a starting budget of at least $200+ minimum, even for the most basic or smallest options. I felt this was way too expensive and highly unreasonable for a cake, so I decided not to order.

Great place, great people, great food! The cakes are out of this world delicious! Try and be forEVER hooked! <3

We ordered a special cake from Classic Bakery for our son Jaiden’s first birthday celebration. The cake was beautifully decorated and made his special day even more memorable. We truly appreciate the care and effort that went into preparing it. Thank you, Classic Bakery, for being part of our family’s celebration!

Service was excellent. Pastries are absolutely delicious.

I bought several of their baked goods recently and all of them had a strange air freshener type taste, which was really disappointing. Dough and other baked goods are very susceptible to absorbing compounds from nearby wall-mounted air fresheners and I suspect this is what is making everything taste off. We will not be returning.

Truly an Excellent spot. Have now had two birthday cakes from them. Both times beautiful cakes; prepared quickly, a very kind team, just a totally fabulous experience.

Exceptional service at this branch in Gaithersburg MD

I have bought cakes from Classic Bakery for the past several years on various occasions, and definitely for my kids' birthdays! I spent an arm and a leg for my daughter's 1st birthday cake, which I had ordered from another bakery, and it was stiff as wood. So, for her upcoming birthday, I googled bakeries in the area within 25 miles of my home. I wanted her cake to be delicious AND beautiful. Classic Bakery was the first option. When I drove to the address for the first time, I vividly remember that I was so surprised to see this bakery is sitting in the middle of something like an industrial parking lot. If I had not found the address on google, I could not have ever guessed that there is a bakery there. So, I wondered how they could survive in such a place. Soon after, I learned how. They are absolutely perfect. I do not compliment people or businesses easily and they have truly impressed me. Their cakes and all pastries are delicious, very stylish, and reasonably priced. It's been over 10 years that I order our cakes from them and cannot be happier!

I had a customized Barcelona–Argentina cake made, and everything was absolutely perfect! The cake turned out exactly how I envisioned it, and the attention to detail was amazing. The customer service was also excellent—so helpful, responsive, and easy to work with throughout the whole process. I couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out. Highly recommend!

The cake was amazing. It tasted great and I definitely am gonna get more cakes from classic bakery.

Newlyweds here!!! My husband and I enjoyed our cake from Classic Bakery - Gaithersburg soooo much! They created my cake exactly as I wanted it! It was vanilla with peach cream and peaches. The lady from the bakery carefully wheeled the cake out to my car and was patient while I tried uploading it carefully with my friend. The wedding guests loved the cake as well. I can’t wait to try it again for our 1 year anniversary. We were told the bakery compliments us with a free small version of the cake. I will definitely go back to Classic Bakery for other events. The only thing I would change is the long wait. Other than that Classic Bakery exceeded our expectations! Thank you!!!!

I order the large cake for the daughter bday and paid for the large cake when I got the cake it was a medium size .

I had a great experience with Classic Bakery. The staff was friendly and professional. The cake itself was delicious but mostly decorated to perfection for my special occasion.

The cakes we ordered was beautiful, shaped like a book. Everyone liked it.

The cake is so fresh and customer service was amazing!

The staff was helpful and kind. I got a gluten free holy cannoli cake. It was flavorless and very very dry. I wanted to try not having to bake my own GF cake but this was not worth the expense. I’ve purchased a regular cake from here and was told it was pretty good.

This is the yummiest cake I have found in a long time! Their Dulce de Leche cake was light, sweet but not too sweet and EVERYONE love it! I highly recommend this bakery!

Very nice place. The cake was excellent and also the other special items we ordered. The girls there are very helpful.

Beautiful cakes. Very pleased. Everything was perfect

This bakery saved us from disaster! When another bakery messed up our birthday cake, I came here and pleaded with the owner for a custom unicorn cake to be delivered the next morning. The master Baker pulled off a miracle and delivered this beautiful cake! We are forever grateful to them!

I was very disappointed with my experience here. I paid a surprisingly high price for a cupcake, only to be given one straight from the refrigerator. When I asked why it was refrigerated, the employee told me it was because the cupcake was fresh and they wanted to keep it fresh. She assured me that after about 30 minutes, it would be fine. Unfortunately, even after two hours at room temperature, the cupcake was still stiff and had an unpleasant smell and taste, almost like old cookies. It was not fresh, soft, or enjoyable at all. For the price I paid, I expected much better quality and freshness. I understand that some pastries need to be refrigerated, but if a customer is paying a premium price, the product should actually taste fresh and be served in a condition where it can be enjoyed. Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this bakery based on this experience.

We recently visited Classic Bakery’s Gaithersburg location for a wedding cake tasting. I want to start by saying that the young lady who assisted us was wonderful. She was friendly, professional, and provided great service. Unfortunately, our concern was with the pricing and the lack of a clear explanation for it. We requested a very simple two-tier white wedding cake to serve at least 70 people. The design consisted of only two rows of piping and scattered pearls—nothing elaborate. We were quoted approximately $800–$900. This was surprising because we are returning Classic Bakery customers and have purchased a two-tier cake serving approximately 50 people in the past for around $300–$350. We completely expected the price to increase for an additional 20 servings, but we did not expect it to more than double for such a minimal design. What concerned us most was that when we asked why the price was so high and requested clarification on the itemized costs, we still could not get a clear explanation for what was causing such a significant increase. I later reviewed Classic Bakery’s published wedding cake pricing information, which states that wedding cakes meeting certain requirements—75+ servings and 3 tiers—start at $7 per serving. At that starting rate, 75 servings would be approximately $525 before applicable additional charges. Our quote of $800–$900 for approximately 70 servings works out to roughly $11–$13 per serving. I understand that our two-tier cake does not meet the requirements for their published $7-per-serving starting rate and that custom cakes can be priced differently based on design, labor, fillings, delivery, and other factors. However, given how simple our requested design was, I believe we should have been given a clear explanation of what brought the price to $800–$900. I’m sharing our experience so other couples are aware and can ask for a detailed written breakdown of all costs before moving forward with their wedding cake order. Again, the customer service during our tasting was great. Our disappointment was specifically with the pricing and the inability to clearly explain such a large increase.

I wish I had taken a good photo of the cake! However, the cake turned out exactly how I expected, and it was absolutely delicious! I’m not usually a fan of fondant cakes, but this one was great. All of my guests enjoyed it, and it wasn’t too sweet, which we all really appreciated. It was such a beautiful and delicious cake that many of my guests asked where we got it from. Thank you so much!

Gorgeous work, and really nice balance of flavors!

Yummy cake

I am always satisfied with my order

We love Classic Bakery have been going here last 2 years- and all my cake orders are from here and they have never disappointed!

The cake was delicious and beautiful it was for my grandmother 92nd birthday. The cake and icing were so smooth.

They made my custom cake exactly as I wanted & also the test was extraordinary!

Classic Bakery built a customized cake for my husband's 70th birthday. It was sponfe cake with layers of mango and strawberry creme. Delicious. Even better frozen - we had leftovers!

We got our wedding cake from here and people told us it was the best cake they have ever eaten in their life. I cannot recommend Classic Bakery enough if you our looking to support a local business for your wedding!

My wife and I got a custom wedding cake from Classic Bakery and it turned out absolutely perfect. The ordering process was easy and it was ready on time. The carrot cake with cream cheese filling was delicious!!!

We sent the bakery an image of a Dogman themed cake for my son's 8th birthday. I wasn't expecting much but Classic Bakery made an exact replica of the cake that was pure perfection! It not only looked fantastic but tasted incredible. The customer service was impeccable and they made the entire process so easy. We will continue to seek out their services for future celebrations!

The staff in there were friendly and really helpful and gave out every information that needed to be given..

They did a very nice cake for son’s birthday

Wow what a lovely bakery and cafe!! I just wanted to stop somewhere for a coffee and was pleasantly surprised to walk into this adorable bakery!! delicious assortment of pastries and I got to try Armenian coffee for the first time!! YUM!! :D

My 14-year-old decided she wanted a very specific teal birthday cake just the day before her birthday... And my rushed search was not yielding much result until I contacted the Classic Bakery. Farzaneh was nice and polite and she took my order for less than 24 hours ahead . The cake was amazing - beautiful teal and great inscription. And it's so yummy!

The family members that work here were so rude. I was left standing there. I was in the middle of ordering and the two lady’s walk away from me. They need to be more mindful about their customer service. I didn’t get no hello or thank you just simply what do you want. Later the sale associate came and he was helpful and kind but the old lady and middle age lady were so rude. I’ve came here before and no problem at all ever but today being help by the family members of the establishment was so disappointing.

Great staff, Awesome Cakes!

10/10 The red velvet with cream cheese is my favourite thing from classic bakery. I’ve ordered everything cake from them for the past 6 months and I’m glad I got them to do this cake for my daughter’s birthday 💕

Classic Bakery is a wonderful bakery and I highly recommend it to everyone! Whether it's just stopping by for a quick treat/delicious coffee or a special occasion cake, Classic Bakery goes above and beyond with all aspects of customer service and delivering a quality product, which is delicious and just as you imagined.

The employees are always friendly and helpful. I've ordered a couple custom cakes from here and would order again. The cakes were delicious!

I had a custom cake for my husband’s retirement from the military after 20 years. They made a delicious and absolutely amazing cake. Our guests could not stop talking about how gorgeous it was. They helped me load the cake in my car and even helped make sure it wouldn’t slide around.

I really wanted to love this bakery because our initial experience was wonderful. The shop itself is beautiful, the staff was friendly and professional, and our cake tasting was excellent. Everything during the planning process gave us confidence that our wedding cake would be amazing. Unfortunately, the cake we received on our wedding day was a huge disappointment. It looked nothing like the inspiration photo I had provided, and the taste was completely different from what we had sampled during the tasting. I honestly don't understand how the final product could be so different from what we were promised. I do want to give credit where it's due—they arrived on time and were professional with delivery. However, for such an important part of our wedding, the final result simply did not meet our expectations. After such a great tasting experience, I expected the wedding cake to match both the quality and the design we had agreed on. Sadly, I wouldn't use them again.

The service was excellent. Since the tasting to the event day. Although the bakery had a delay, they delivered on time. They also made the cake per our preference. Thank you Classic Bakery! Everyone at the event wanted to get more cake. The cake design was beautiful.

Cake was moist, really good! The only thing was the icing, not buttercream.

I came in with a custom cake request and the wonderful lady took great care in all of my design choices. Cake was ready on time and it was absolutely beautiful and tasty, this is the place to go for all of your cake and bakery needs!

This is the second year we’ve trusted classic with our son’s bday cake and could not be more pleased! Thank you so much for making the day so special!!

We had a wonderful experience with this bakery. They followed every detail exactly as we requested, the custom cakes turned out beautifully, and everything was ready on time.

So delicious!

The cake Classic Bakery made for my Dad's 100th birthday was phenomenal. Not only was it beautiful, but it was a moist, delicious German chocolate; his favorite! Thanks for helping to make this auspicious birthday even moreso!

Although I had ordered just a small basic cake, the proprietor handed it to me as if she was giving me the moon and the stars! The pride these bakers and workers have for their artistry shows in the phenomenal beauty of their cakes and, most importantly, in the scrumptious taste of them too. The description of the cake said it served 4-6 people, but because of its lavish height, we got 8 delicious servings from it, and everyone raved about how utterly spectacular it was. This bakery is consistently superb and its standards are of the absolutely highest quality! Highly recommend Classic Bakery for all of your celebrations!

My family/ I have been purchasing my cakes here since I was 6 years old! My mom would buy these cakes for my birthday parties… now as a new mom I want to keep that tradition and purchases her 1st birthday cake! The cakes no matter what flavor are all delicious! I would HIGHLY recommend anyone buy their cake or any special treat here!

I just recently purchased an Anniversary cake. Parans was very helpful in helping me make decisions. The cake turned out beautiful! I loved the extra sparkle she put on it. Classic Bakery is my go to bakery for special delicacies.
