I ordered a birthday cake and it was wonderful. The cake was very elegantly done and tasty without being overly sweet. When I visited to place my order, the staff were welcoming and accommodating.

I think service in any type of food industry is always important and speaks loud about your business. I called to place an order for a SIMPLE cake (nothing fancy or complicated) like I always do because it is easy and fast. Today the girl who picked up the phone said “we don’t do that anymore” I said “ you don’t take orders over the phone anymore?” She said “no you have to do it online” I said “I’ve always placed my order over the phone because I’ve always done it that way and she just repeated herself. She said they could call back once the “store cleared up” but to do it online. I just thought this was so cold and not the usual service they offer and it is a shame. Thankfully I can do it online (which is an inconvenience for me because I don’t have the time) could you imagine if I was my 90 year old grandma and this is the response she got !? Crazy.

From the very beginning of time there, Farzaneh took great care of us, working to ensure every detail of our ordering the perfect design, finish, and cream filling. We were enormously pleased with their creation, as our cake was beautiful and tasted amazing, not too gooey sweet like supermarket cakes, but the exact right amount of freshness and sweetness combined!

Got my 1 year wedding anniversary here, I also got my wedding cake here. So easy and pleasant experience and the cake is delicious!

We had a wonderful experience with Classic Bakery for our wedding cake. We had a cake from Classic Bakery a few weeks before we decided to have a wedding, which was fantastic, and made us look into it for wedding cakes as well. We planned a quick wedding due to illness in the family and we were able to schedule an appointment and purchase the cake quickly and easily. The cake turned out exactly like the reference picture and was easily the best wedding cake any of my guests had ever had (we have friends and family members who are in the wedding business). Most of our guests asked for a 2nd slice of cake. Delivery was very easy to schedule and arrived safely. I would highly recommend Classic Bakery to anyone who is looking for a delicious cake and even more if they are looking for a wedding cake.

I purchased 2 cakes, 1 was strawberry crème filled which was delicious unfortunately the second one was a tres leches cake and it was a bit on the dry side to be considered tres leches.

I will never buy a cake anywhere else! I got two cakes this past weekend for two very different events. The fruit topped birthday cake for my son’s 34th birthday at a restaurant was non dairy, especially for him. Everyone love it. No on knew it was dairy free; the just knew it was delicious! I also got a large “naked cake” with strawberry cream for a baby shower. I brought fresh flowers in the mother-to-be’s colors of her choosing, which Classic Cakes arranged beautifully. It was stunning! But more importantly, it was absolutely scrumptious. A number of guest’s coming for seconds and others declared it the best cake they’d ever had. I could not agree more. The cake was gone by the end of the party, except for crumbs that I scooped up the next morning for a last bite. Finally, the staff at Classic Cakes is amazing. They are happy people, greeting everyone so positively. They love their jobs and one another, and that love comes through to their customers. When I saw the decorated baby shower naked cake would not fit in my refrigerator, they happily said they would keep it in their huge refrigerator, and i could come just as they opened the next day so i could pick it up and be back in time for the party. Don’t be fooled by the location in an office park. This place is a wonder Be prepared to be overwhelmed by the delectable, buttery aroma as you walk through the door, but go. You will not be disappointed, I promise!

I was recommended to go to Classic Bakery from a close friend who does custom cakes but wasn’t able to do it for the time I needed it for a friend who was getting married. My recommendation would be to go online and fill out the custom cake inquiry form. I called initially because I prefer direct contact/communication, but they are busy store and you would need to a manager for specific questions (also a final cost is only given once submitting the pictures and cake size/details in the custom cake inquiry form). Once I submitted my inquiry, I worked with Jessica at the Gaithersburg location who helped answer basic questions and took care of me from start to finish. Jessica was very knowledgeable, attentive, and responsive with my questions/concerns. She showed empathy, care, and flexibility throughout the process. I mentioned I was doing this for a friend and they were also very satisfied with the process of cake tasting (they couldn’t do in person and Jessica said it could be done virtually- cake has to be picked up of course). They loved the flavors (you choose your top 3 out of like 10 or so). Overall it was a great experience and their bakery is worth visiting. Their pastries are delicious and it’s a beautiful atmosphere upon walking in. Thank you for a great first time experience. 🙏🏻
