Classic Bakery has always done an incredible job with doing my partner’s birthday cakes for the past 3 years. He and his family have enjoyed every single one of them and have said they tasted delicious. We are long distance, I’m in California and this is my go for delivery each year in January for his birthday. I am very disappointed with the cake that cost me more than a thousand dollars. The presentation was fine, but the taste of the cake is like a Giantfood cake. Infact a Gaint cake can be or is better in flavor and quality. The fondant is diabetes worthy since there is more fondant than actual cake.The price has to go with the quality of the cake.

1 dozen of the tarts were fresh, 1 dozen were soggy and seemed old.

We ordered a birthday cake at the Rockville location in the middle of the holidays, and Classic bakery came through with a beautiful cake for us, prepared right on time. The family and staff are so friendly and helpful when you visit in person too. We would prefer a little more flavor in the cake; the icing needed a tweak to the balance of fat to sugar to other flavoring. However the artistry was stellar, the ingredients good quality, and I would try again and do recommend them. We picked out cake up, but Classic Bakery offers their own regional delivery, which is incredibly helpful when you’re planning a party. They use their own vans and drivers, so the cakes and treats will arrive safely. I hope to try their other baked goods such as the breads and multi layer slices. They offer quite a variety of cookies, including both classic American/French and Greek/Persian/Armenian specialties.

The cake was beautiful & especially delicious!

Cake was delicious and everyone enjoyed it. Was my second time ordering the same cake for my mother's birthday. The only issue I had was that I called earlier in the day on 12/24 to inquire about when they were closing because I wanted to make sure I arrived in time and was told 4pm. They called me at 2:50pm but I didn't know it was them. I called the # back as I was on my way out the door to go get the cake and that's when i was told they were calling to let me know I had a cake there for pick up and they close at 3pm. I let the girl know that I called earlier and was told 4pm. She put me on hold and when she came back on said someone should still be there. When I arrived, closer to 3:30pm there was another customer placing an order so I'm not sure if they actually closed at 3pm or if they truly were closing at 4pm. Ultimately, I was able to pick up the cake but the confusion did cause me to panic.

Love the cakes. Love the kind service! I think the checkout process could be organized better. Start from the cake treat side and end at the cashier to avoid confusion on who is next. Otherwise love going there!

Really pleased with my experience getting a custom California-themed chocolate cake here. The staff was professional and communicative throughout the design process, making sure every detail was just right. What impressed me most was that the cake wasn't just beautiful - it was genuinely delicious, which isn't always the case with custom designs. The empty cake plate at the end of our event and the many compliments from guests say it all. Great execution from design to delivery.

The great experience started from the first tasting. Everyone was extremely personable and loved all the cakes. The final cake for the wedding was delicious and no problems at all. We had two flavors and everyone wanted to have both flavors.

The cake itself was not good texture wise, i was expecting a cake taste and it was so airy, the fondant was so heavy in comparison to the cake that it made slicing it a disaster, the cake was breaking apart when trying to serve it, it 3 people to try to keep it from crumbling it was so embarrassing, the printed images on the cake were so low quality and not nice looking in my opinion, they could’ve been changed and the bakery could’ve asked if I liked them first before using them in final design, will not be ordering from here again!

Classic Bakery did our wedding cake and it was beautiful and delicious! They did the top layer gluten free for a couple of my guests and delivered it to the hotel just as requested!

I have used classic bakery for birthdays and get togethers. Their delivery service is always great and I get compliments on the cakes and pastries. The Napoleon cake is a favorite that everyone loves. For my son’s birthday we did a custom cake and they were able to help me understand the options for customization. Classic Bakery is amazing! We ordered cupcakes for my birthday on a whim when looking for a new bakery to try and they were the best cupcakes I’ve ever had from any bakery! We then ordered a small 6” cake for my fiancé’s birthday a few weeks later and it too was absolutely some of the best cake we’ve ever had. This is the best bakery in Montgomery County, no question. We’ve only had the cake so far but IMO that’s one of the hardest things for a bakery to get right! We will be back very soon to try the large assortment of Greek and Persian pastries they make.
